Three shops at ground floor, three apartments at first and three ones at second floor, are placed in the Determined Outline building, located in a low-dense town at the outskirts of Athens.
The frequent vehicle passing in the street in front of the building has been reflected on the building façade, highlighting the linear elevation character.
The main architectural idea is based on the building’s and activities’ orientation placement in the given plot. Concerning the apartment floors, everyday living uses are oriented south while the bedrooms are oriented north, ensuring the optimum natural ventilation of the compact building.
The design priority is also given to the semi-outdoor spaces oriented south at both floors, defusing the apartment usage filtering the sunlight penetration at summer period, while determining the building outline.
