A single family house is built in a corner plot at a quiet suburb of Athens.
The area has recently started to populate and the owners needed a house that will have a close connection to the garden serving as their own private open space.
All public functions of the house have been placed to the ground floor with immediate connection to the garden, while private ones as the bedrooms and bathrooms are located to the first floor.
An inner atrium connects the two floors with large vertical windows to the south allowing the sun to enter the volume of the building.
The whole house was conceived as multiple intersections of rectangular volumes, resulting to open and closed spaces. Keeping a distance from the sides of the plot, allows all spaces to face both south and north, optimizing space ventilation and creating a pleasant environment for the users.
